Privacy Policy for Sitka EMS

Sitka EMS ("the App") is a code-blue documentation tool for emergency medical services. This policy explains how the App handles your data.

Data Collection

The App collects the following data solely on your device:

• Voice recordings — The App uses your device's microphone to record optional voice notes attached to resuscitation events. These recordings are stored only on your device and are never transmitted.
• Code event logs — Resuscitation event data (timings, drugs administered, shocks, rhythms) is stored locally in the App's private storage.

Data Sharing

The App does not share, transmit, sell, or upload your resuscitation data, voice recordings, or any other personal content to external servers.

The App's only network use is the Google Play Billing service, which is required to process optional in-app subscription purchases (Sitka Plus). This communication occurs directly between the Google Play app on your device and Google's servers; the App itself does not transmit your purchase details to any Sitka-operated server. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. If you never visit the Subscription screen or initiate a purchase, no billing-related network activity occurs that originates from in-App actions.

Data Export

You may export a PDF summary of a resuscitation event using your device's share sheet. You control where that export is sent.

Data Deletion

All data can be deleted by uninstalling the App or clearing App data in your device settings. Active subscriptions are managed through the Google Play Store and can be cancelled there.

Permissions

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) — Used exclusively to record voice notes. Recording only occurs when you explicitly initiate it within the App.
• Internet (INTERNET) — Used exclusively by the Google Play Billing client library to query subscription products, launch the Google Play purchase flow, restore previously purchased subscriptions on reinstall, and acknowledge purchases as required by Google Play policy. The App does not perform any other network requests.
